Amber Dowell, SLPA
Hi! I’m Amber Dowell, a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) based in Southern California.
I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders from the University of Redlands in 2024. I became a Registered Behavioral Technician (RBT) in 2025, where I developed strong skills in behavior support and working with children with diverse needs. In 2026, I received my SLPA certification and began focusing on speech and language development.
I am passionate about working with children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and supporting early intervention. I love using a naturalistic, play-based approach to therapy, where learning happens through meaningful, everyday interactions.
My goal is to create a fun, supportive, and safe environment where children feel confident to communicate and be themselves. I believe every child’s voice matters, and I am committed to helping each child grow, connect, and be heard.
